WIP Mp5k

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

I've been modifying and tweeking the mp5k to look better and the most important thing was the barrel structure. I found oldfaq's adequate to do the job but, i got rid of the boxes in between the barrel and the upper cylinder. The thin walls along the sides of the barrel will come soon.

good work
and I thought skinning took a long time... modeling is hard, and even what you have currently would look good in-game

heh, it doesn't for me, but in order to model sumtin like you have, it would take more than a few hours..

skinning and modelling require a certain perfection that you seem to find the work ethic to do.. I don't know why, but I just dont seem to want to perfect my (unfinished beta) mod. I just like skinning.

Um, Grunt you've never skinned, you take an existing skin and modified it. You haven't uvw mapped or actually made the original one

okie, i have fixed the right half the gun (since in real-life it is symetrical except for the cocking lever) by using a slice modifier down the middle, deleting the right side, then mirroring the left side over to the right, then welding down the middle. Looks good as new, but better and i also fixed the align problems, now its aligned correctly

well yeah, i take the reg hog skin and modify it, but if your sayin that i take a skin made by another person then modify it, your wrong... I havent really had the need to make a whole new skin, so i havent learned that yet. Im still an OK skinner (at least i think...) anyway my photoshop trial expired, so im not workin on skinnin, im working on my new mod now..

keep up the good work with your modeling! :D
