Portals (not teleporters)

Post by gamble »

K i got an error that says my portals are not defining a closed space. I was not aware that that was a quality of portals. I got pics of the error and error geometry

without error geometry

with error geometry (only has the parts of the portal that are inside the skybox)

I do have exact portals and the areas defined by my exact portals and my portals are not intersecting

I think I know why that is happening. There are 3 portals in one direction. There needs to be two that have their normals facing each other, there is one left over and it doesn't have anything on the other side. All you need to do I think is add a fourth one parallel to the group of 3.

No im pretty sure the HEK tut says to have all portals facing in one direction (u know, just not the ones that run the other way).

It said form North to South and East to WEst I think, but i tried fliping all my faces.

Does anyone know or have had this problem?
