New weapon help!

I'm trying to make a new weapon, a missile launcher. It's simple so far, it's just a needler model that shoots rocket launcher ammo. But for some reason, i can neither pick it up in-game, nor can i actually use it if i start with it. When i try to put it on starting equipment, it just gives me an AR instead. Can somebody PLZ help!?

ok... how did you go about making the weapon?

did you create a new tag in guerilla? or did you edit an original one?

it's best to edit an original tag if you're new to guerilla, as you can simply change what you want, instead of building the entire tag again.

another thing you might have done is to import it as a .weapon, not a .item_collection tag. you need to make a .item_collection tag for the game, otherwise it won't respawn, and you can't make it part of your starting equipment.

i created a new one with an original as a reference. and yes, i did make the .item_collection tag.

does you guys know where to place a fp model in 3ds max so it appears in halo?
