Gravity?

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Gravity?

Post by Lima14 »

I've got an Idea for a cool map or MOD which takes place on a planetoid.. So instead of having a flat playing field, you get a really big planetoid to play on, just big enough to see surface curveature.. (This is a longshot)...

Unfortunately I cant see anything in any of the gureilla properties to make you stick to the damn mudball... (ie force of gravity)... :(

Any Ideas? (probably too far fetched for Halo Engine to do)...

you mean, you have a sky box, then inside you have a sphere (which is the "ground" of the level)?

Yep... That's right.. :D

If you ever saw DragonBall Z when Goku trains with King Kai - His house is on a tiny planet at the end of Snake Way. The small planet has ten times the gravity of Earth.. Well I was thinking about making a small planet like that - it'd be fun trying to fight on an always curving battlefield with limited vision...

So New Age... how about helping out your fellow mappers? I thought that's what a forum was for... To help each other out? Or am I wrong here? :?

well then i, same as you, would doubt the halo engine could do that

If you launched a rocket, it would have to curve around the planet. also if it didn't hit anything it would just keep flying in a cycle.

but the point is, you'd have to mod the weapons too

Unfortunately Im not using HMT and if someone could point me in the direction of the 'lowering gravity' tut - that would be a good starting point.

Thanks for the assist chaps :D
