can i draw a skin freehand with paper and pencil, than ink at, and skin it in the computer and use it for halo xbox? cause im an artist and i think it would be awesome to make a new skin. I have no experience in skinning yet. So if you could hold off on the flaming.....
i do know how to edit weapons and transfer file to and fro the xbox from the cpu if thats any help....

well, i guess thats technically(sp) possible, but it would b so amazingly hard. I dont know if you've ever looked at a skin in HMT, but it takes the 3d image of someting and makes it into a 2d pic. It divides it in a certain way depending on the pic. So, if u cud copy the design perfectly on a piece of paper then i guess u could draw on it and scan it in, but, from a practical stand point...no.

If you can export .dds files from X-Box to your computer, you could print out the texture, and then trace the edges. Then, you could scan your new drawing, make it the exact size as the original texture, and save your new texture. That way it would be the same size. You'd need a good scanner, though, for it to be really good. Good idea, though.
