The Official Emblem Design Thread

We're going to do this a little differently than in the past. Previously, we've held contests for emblem ideas, and those worked out well, but for this time I don't feel that a contest is necessary. Here is a thread where users may submit new designs for emblems to potentially be used on the site any time they want. Emblems will be chosen by the emblem staff and implemented for whatever meaning they choose.

A few things to keep in mind when submitting an emblem:

• Please try to keep with the style of emblems that are already implemented. Things such as characters and other such subject matter are often outside of this style. Emblems should, for the most part, be slightly ambiguous, not necessarily having a specific meaning in mind. Previous emblems users created that have been used have this in common. You may submit whatever you like, but keeping as I've described will give you a much better shot of having your design used.
• Please make emblems the appropriate size, 35x16.
• Please make sure chevrons are appropriately sized and placed. Here is an image demonstrating the correct color, size, and placement of the chevrons:
• Please check your emblem design on the two existing post background colors to be sure it will not be hard on the eyes if implemented. Here is an image you can use to test the colors in conjunction with other emblems and the post backgrounds: http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/9706 ... mplate.png

I would also like to use this thread, for the time being, to ask the community about a current emblem design.
Currently, we have this emblem for, as far as I know, Xbox 360/Halo 3 section modders:

Here is an existing emblem for another purpose, with the original Xbox logo. This is not one of the choices or a suggestion, this already exists, I'm just posting it for stylistic comparison:
I would like the community's input on these designs, which they prefer and the like, as well as their designs for such an emblem, if they would like to submit one. Feel free to submit a design you may have for this emblem, or let us know which of these two you'd prefer to see.

I reworded the post to make it more clear. The black emblem already exists, and is for something else. It was added just to compare the 360 ones to.

Meh. Not a pro at this sort of stuff. It's supposed to be the Halo ring, might be kinda hard to tell. If anyone wants to take that idea and improve it, by all means feel free.
