You've been a great contributor and overall have had a better attitude than most of the programmers on this site, you'll be missed.

+The selling part. Which reminds me, are those people going to be refunded now that the app is public?shade45 wrote:The code stealing incident is true. What happened was I took a class from an application made by detox and used it in another application I was working on before this one without his knowing it or asking for his permission. I then gave that application to someone else which effectively leaked that code because it ended up being decompiled. I did apologize to detox and we came to an agreement that releasing Construct and not selling it to anybody else would make up for the previous code leaking incident.
So yeah that's the whole story there. As for me leaving it's just wont have the time to put into modding anymore I've got some new priority's and would like to put this all behind me.
Regardless guys.. It's not a big deal.. He made a slip up.. We make them, shit happens. Of course it wasn't right but shouldn't that be over with now? I mean the way I see it is if a guy is sticking around and did something horrid then sure, whatever, but if he's leaving, then atleast remember the good things done. Like this app, like all the BSP Research, including BSP Conversions which shade got working with some help from Shalted, among other things. He did some cool things. And kudos to him on that. Good bye shade hope you enjoy your new life.

Re: Construct - Open Source Map Editor
Shade, you were the reason I originally joined Halomods back in the day (to ask a question about getting my H2 map to work on System Link), and you were tremendously helpful in getting H3 usermap modding started. You have serious skills, and I am sad to see you leave Halo modding behind. I hope things go well with the move and job. Let me know if you want to play some 360 sometime!

Alas, I lack anything original to say.
Much appreciation, Shade, for your dedication and your commitment, and I wish you both luck and pleasure in your future endeavors.

Re: Construct - Open Source Map Editor
I wish you the best shade.
There were a few easily fixed errors in the code (not including the missing library), but seeing how well it was made, and how much obvious work was put into the research (directed towards everyone who did research as well), I'm sad to see it go un-finished. But then again, that's why you released the code. Thanks for everything you've done, and good luck on everything you will.

Now -DeToX- has settled what happened, I don't want to see any more posts about it in here. Keep discussion to Shades app, not about the incident between him and -DeToX-
Looks like a nice UI, and a nice app. Good job, sad to see you leave.

Probably because it's used more often in a negative way than a neutral or positive way.
