Watchmen?
I'm surprised that I haven't seen anything on this.
Who's going to see it? I'm seeing it at the midnight showing...first movie I've ever wanted to do that with.
There have to be SOME fans of the graphic novel here...

I don't plan on seeing it, but I just might swing by a movie theater from boredom.

Honestly, I had never even heard of it before I saw a trailer like 6 months ago, it looks like it will be pretty good. If I get time this weekend I'll probably go see it Sunday.

Loved the graphic novel, definitely going to see it.
Best Graphic novel I've read, imo.

I'm going to read the book first. It's been put on the list for recommended reading in my syllabus. I'll probably get it on the tail end of theaters, in a smaller community theater, or on DVD.

Re: Watchmen?
Alan Moore graphic novels are awesome. My cousin gave me all the old copies they're so good.
Re: Watchmen?
I believe I'm going tomorrow as well.
I wish I'd read the graphic novel first, but I can always do that after.

Just got back from the 00:01 showing. Pee first, don't drink a lot, and get the image of a circumcised glowing penis into your head, so it won't be as much of a shock to you when it's on screen every other frame.
Seriously though, loved it. Nice to finally see a comicbook/superhero-movie adaptation with some depth. Awesome sex scene, good story line, excellent visuals. Only downer is the length.

Going to see it in IMAX in a few hours...I've only read a couple volumes of the graphic novel but I was too busy to finish reading it before the movie came out.

Re: Watchmen?
That was fantastic.
Perfect length. Everything I wanted. Fights, explosions, naughty women bits.
But yes: WARNING - DONGS.

I'm going to see it in IMAX tomorrow. The IMAX theater here is cheaper than going to the regular theater. Although that could be because Watchmen wasn't filmed for IMAX, and will most likely be blown up and blurry.

It looked fine to me, and I was in the second row.HPDarkness wrote:I'm going to see it in IMAX tomorrow. The IMAX theater here is cheaper than going to the regular theater. Although that could be because Watchmen wasn't filmed for IMAX, and will most likely be blown up and blurry.
Seeing it again today with a friend that couldn't make it for last night, but this time in a standard theater. For some reason, the runtime is longer on the standard...

Re: Watchmen?
The novel is amazing. From what I can tell it doesn't seem very different from the movie, aside from the apocalyptic ending it seemed pretty accurate.
Re: Watchmen?
This movie was win.
Re: Watchmen?
I heard it was good, but had way too much DONGS.
I can't exactly say I'm looking forward to it now.
I take it back, dong is such a better word.

Re: Watchmen?
Saw it for the second time. The intro bit set to "The Times They are A-Changin'" is my favorite piece in the whole film.
Now I want to watch Silhouette kicking lots of ass.
