I'm with you. Although here in CT the snow melts, then freezes into ice again. It's actually easier driving in Maine sometimes because the snow stays snow.

It probably depends on how prepared the states are to handle the snow. Some states/areas are more prepared than others.
From the sound of it, you obviously get a lot more snow than others, leading you to require a lot more snow in order to get a snow day.

also, given how many people suck shit at driving normally, there's bound to be even more accidents. I'm in michigan at the moment, and the snow's finally melting. high of 60 degrees friday
