need help with halo trial

well i started moddinng a few days ago and now i cant start my own server (my freinds couldnt join anyway for some reason)
but now its telling me to downlod some patch and i tried but it says halo isnt on my pc

please help

i cant find anything on google
and i tried turning off the firewall and that didnt work

how do i open a port

and when i try to a server a pop up shows up that wont let me on halo that says exception and has a little loading bar tha eventualy goes away along with halo

*EDIT: well it works when i have the reguler map up instead of my moded one (no one can get on it though still

Your friends need the modded map

I had the same problem on my comp

Save your modded map then reinstall the trial
I have to do that sometimes

Make sure you have the 1.08 patch downloaded. You have to manually download it from Bungie. Link
