A Modest Proposal: For Preventing Cuda From Ruining Halomods

Post by Danke »

I humbly request that Cuda be demodded for even insinuating that discussion goes on in these forums. This is the most appalling thing I have ever seen. What does he think this is? Some kind of message board? What, is he dense? Is he retarded?

The Cafe is for requests, not discussion.

But in all seriousness, JESUS CHRIST STOP DOING THIS

I'm terribly sorry Dan, it will never happen again.

In all seriousness. Don't lock a topic on religion or politics unless you see it get out of hand, There are members with half a brain and can have an open-minded conversation. No need to dumb the rest of us down due to a select dumb few.

But it will happen. There's no need to, every time there is a political or religious thread, let it get out of hand, then lock it, and say "u gaise stop flamin." It's been shown for a good couple years now that they don't work.

It's a rule that is, and has always been in effect. No religious or political discussions. They always get out of hand, and no good can come from arguing over them, because when it comes to religion or politics, peoples opinions will always differ. Whilst I agree partly with what Trulife said, unfortunatley it is not a select 'few' that are 'dumb' but rather a select few that are capable of holding a debate without resorting to agressive, flaming posts. So what, shall we just allow a few select people to hold religious/political debates, whilst withholding posting rights from the rest of the community? I don't think so, it's best to just keep these things off the forum.

He's not saying remove their posting rights, just closely monitor the threads for derailing attacks or stupid "bush sukslolol-esque" posts.
