Re: Phpbb3 Forums Complaints
SourceGuy told me he was messing with the width of the column on the left, so I have these errors to report:
Emblems run past the dividing line.
Thread body text, signatures, etc. are not justified left with the column.
Remove the time from users' "join date" in that column...it is unnecessary and takes up space. Make that whole column a little bit wider...it's better than it was before, but it seems too small now. Some users' information is messed up and wrapping to the line below.
I'd also suggest removing posting count from the column.
Edit: Column width seems pretty good now. Disregard bold text. The thread body text and signatures seem like they could be a little bit more to the left and still look good. All regular typeface still applied.
Open in tabs to compare left column width and body text location regarding the left column:

I still think it would look better to have the body text closer to the dividing line, but it's not really a "problem."

Your Best Post Ever link doesn't go anywhere.
Not sure if it's a PHPBB3 problem, but whatever.

Yes, new forum problem. Link fixed.Aumaan Anubis wrote:Your Best Post Ever link doesn't go anywhere.

Edit: The following are issues relevant to members with special permissions:
Apparently Readers' Club permissions have not been set. T3AB4GG3R117<-gt, in the Readers' Club, has the ability to post.
PHPbb3's built-in "report post" feature clashes with the report feature we had on the old forum. As far as I can tell, staff have no ability to leave comments on closed reports. Reported posts do not create a topic in the Reports subforum. So we'll either have to repair our old report feature, or utilize this new one.
Re: Phpbb3 Forums Complaints
Is there anyway that we can move the links to the pages back under the thread title? Also, center the whole forum and don't have all this wasted space?
I'm on a 24" Monitor, I hate having to turn my head to see anything. I loved how on the old halomods, everything was right there where it needed to be.

Re: Phpbb3 Forums Complaints
Issues I'm seeing:
- Guests have some random set of emblems.
- Going to halomods.com logs me out (so... I'm just confirming that I guess.)
- The bottom stuff when viewing a thread is too wide (it expands beyond the standard width of the page)

Everything you'll ever need to know about me.
Need help with Linux, C#, C, Python, Java, PHP, Javascript, CSS, or VB? I'm available from 3:00PM-8:00PM EST on weekdays.

Also, is there a way to make it where when you click the thread title, it takes you to the newest post instead of the first?

Right click + copy link location.DrXThirst wrote:Also, is there a way to make it where when you click the thread title, it takes you to the newest post instead of the first?
Re: Phpbb3 Forums Complaints [ERROR REPORT]
Need to force the username panel (with all the emblems) cannot be shrunk. If I'm on Halomods on non full screen, things will begin to merge.
Re: Phpbb3 Forums Complaints [ERROR REPORT]
Currently we can only work with percentages. Not fixed widths.

Also: It's too damn difficult to tell which threads are stickies and which aren't.

Huh, I disagree.
Re: Phpbb3 Forums Complaints [ERROR REPORT]
I'm with Bibbit on that one.
Rules topic is supposed to display the search icon half way down the page but it doesn't exist anymore.

Re: Phpbb3 Forums Complaints [ERROR REPORT]
Sorry, but I just don't see how you disagree. There's absolutely no way to tell which topics are stickies other than the icon, which barely looks different from those of regular threads. I think if the rectangles surrounding sticky threads were a different color, or if the "sticky topic" icons were a different color, then it would be good. But honestly, I currently find it very difficult to quickly locate where sticky threads end and "regular" threads begin.BEEF!!! wrote:I'm with Bibbit on that one.

I mean, maybe its a person-to-person case, but I can tell the different shapes and details apart quickly.
