I hate being on the phone. I'm trapped in doing nothing but talking on the phone. I have to put everything I'm doing down to answer and talk to someone.. When I'm texting I can multi-task a lot easier, and it's easier to keep messages short and to the point, rather than trying to fill empty spaces in a conversation.
I would prefer to just not have a cell phone at all, but that's really not possible if I want to stay in contact with a few people.

Hmm.. I know I do a lot more than 50 a day on average. Not lately, though.

I get roughly 10,000 texts a month, this is because i don't like talking on the phone much.

None the less, i get over 900 minutes of talk time a month as well. :3

Greg Hardesty didn't LOL when he got his teen daughter's cellphone statement.

All he could think was "OMG!"

O jeez, internet slang.

You people are insane; I barely manage 10-15 a day! My old Chocolate was so excruciatingly slow when it came to texting. It's just so damn easy to hit those annoying softkeys.

Most of my texting is for useful purposes, so I can say things that I wouldn't be able to say over the phone on campus.

You seem to have some odd-founded disliking of texting. Texting isn't the problem with kids' social skills.. that would be parenting and environment. I'm currently texting my girlfriend when we both have chances in between classes. I don't get to see her much, and she rarely has time to talk on the phone, so texting is great until I do get to see her.

Thats the name my phys ed teacher gave Roberto because he is texting like every 5 minutes. I get irritated when people contact me just to talk. My mom normally notices my phone needs to be charged because it will sit in the same spot for a month.

I'm on pay as you go, so i only use my phone in emergincies. I have never sent a text to a human being in my entire 5 years of having a mobile.
