Can you say perfect Pelican?

This mod is incredibly awesome and could make for some really good multiplayer, but there are two things missing that make it not-perfect, and those are sound and damage to the driver... I would like to add these myself but I don't know where to begin for doing such a thing. I would like to make this mod like the banshee mod is, where it is destroyed after a certain amount of damage (or the pilot just dies, it doesn't have to blow up or anything), but I don't know how one would do this... does anyone have any links to some tutorials or something for this kind of modding? I have HMT, Sparkedit and milkshape... I mainly just want to find a way to let the pilot be killed while in flight. Or maybe pokecancer could do it if he wants, because I don't have a clue : P
EDIT: I know there are no "official" sounds for the pelican, but that doesn't matter. Vehicles sounds don't really matter to me, it's just very strange if they're completely silent. I remember in the map "The Void", there was some good sounds added to the Pelican. I'd like to figure out how to do something like that

Dude this would be a kool remake of the Red vs. Blue Episode when the tank is bombed by a pelican.... when all you see is a shadow.... if you could actually see the Pelican bombing the tank from the other Base!!!
Other than that its an awsome mod! I may add a few other mods to it, compress it and add it to my Map CD! (I'm making 3CDs, 1 is BG mods, 2 is SW mods and 3 is Hem'H mods) the 3 most played maps at my LAN parties!

AWESOME MOD.
Curious though...anyway to make this fire cannons? Similar to the way the Covenant drop ships are able to fire. It would make this mod more useful since right now, it just looks good, but isn't really practical for raising hell.

I don't think I can make it area specific or not. I think the tank's driver seat takes damage more cuz there is no collision model over the driver's seat so the driver gets hit by the bolt's themselves. Maybe if I can turn the cockpit collision off then we can do that other wise it's just the same damage all over.
yeah you could probably take the collision model off the windshield or something, right? Then the thing wouldn't have huge clipping issues with the walls either. If that's impossible then the same damage all-over would be perfectly fine, just don't make the thing too weak if you can... it should take a good rocket or two to take it down, as it would in real life. Great work though, I wish I would know how to do it

Here is the pelican with biped damage. The only problem I see is that the passengers take damage too when the side gets shot. I can't seem to figure out how to fix this...will see what I can do. In the meantime have fun with it. It's the same mod as pokecancer has here cept I put driver damage on.

That's amazing, it makes the multiplayer so much better... How did you do it? I've been trying to use the collision model plugin that berkano made for HMT 3.5... it works really good (or it seems like it would) but I can't seem to find the meta data for the collision model of the pelican... even though the ntsc-offset guides list it in each of the single layer levels that have the pelican in it. I batch extracted the metadata for "The Silent Cartographer" in HMT and it gave me a lot of stuff, but for some reason the collision model for the pelican just wasn't in there... I think you can make it explode and all with the HMT plugin too, as berkano made a mod where the warthog explodes when you damage it too much... I want to do that with the pelican

you guys should use the tank meta for the pelican so you can have five seats please do this

There seems to be a flag in the vehi meta for driver damage. If I knew how to make a plugin for hmt or hht I would put in the damage flag. Maybe if someone who knows how to make plugins could do it.
