Do you guy seriously bash vista still? Firstly, I've loved vista since I got it about a year ago and secondly, why the hell are you talking about vista in a windows 7 thread. Seriously, the OS had to be way better then vista due or it would get bashed to death by people like you after release and fail cause of the hate vista bandwagon and stupid mac commercials.

K i'm done.

It was the honest truth of the way people were when Vista was first released. Exactly why Microsoft did the "Mojave" experiment. Yeah, Vista may have some compatibility problems, but other than that it's really good. :|

We're talking about Windows 7 right?

So far my experience has been great, I'll definitely be buying it.
as long as people stop bashing Windows, I think it will be a successful OS, maybe it will bring people's faith in Microsoft back.

The only reason why I posted it was the fact that people are so naive to still throw Vista problems into the same hat as Windows 7 and the 7's marketing is one big bid to get Microsoft into the people's good sides again (Hence the :?). I think this whole part about the "Mac way" has changed the OS fight. It all seems to be reflective of political mudslinging, and the only way to get a leg up on it's competition. And now that Mac is "Down with the Scene" it has sealed the door kinda shut for Microsoft and it's portrayal of a Pure business ugly Monopolist company that just wants to ruin your lives, steal your money and rape your grandmother.

That said, I like vista. I never installed it, but my experiences with it have all been positive. The only places where I saw it's downfall was when people started to do illegal things on it. 3 computers where the users complained about vista had Limewire on it, no internet connection and never updated and got stuff from the vista computer with Limewire, or was an old Compaq with horrid specs and trying to run a bloated Aero theme with the entire sidebar thing maxed out.

From what I've seen, this is a very easy OS to install.

I think the only thing I had to do was specify the disk, partition and my regional settings.

Ok, what are you using for disk partitioning? I tried Paragon Partition Manager, but that totally crashed the computer and I am booting in safe mode now.
