Yeah, I did that before you did. Then I got a ton of controversy, it was deleted, and started a flame war that got a couple users banned.

You do it a couple months later, and nobody gives a damn.

Fuck Halomods.

The fire in gephy will NOT cause an exception, you're wrong there corvette. Neither will the "vehicles".

Pepsi's smart, he knows that some things are sent over servers, and some are loaded from the map. Things sent over the server are things that will move, bipeds, weapons, vehicles, etc. etc. Thats why some things sync, and others dont.

One example of something that wont move, and is therefore loaded from the mapfile: Scenery. So take a scenery item, and give it the mod2 of a vehicle, and it won't exception.

Why does it exception when you put in new vehicle or biped tags? Because the game loads them from the server, and if it asks for something you don't have, it exceptions.

So Corvette's wrong here on that it would cause an exception. It will NOT cause an exception, neither would the pelicans or longswords, if they do you're doing it wrong, or Pepsi did it wrong and made them vehicle tags (which he didn't, because they're floating, meaning they're scenery).

But can you drive them if they're scenery?

Yes.

O wow, I just realised now why you have to change them back to vehicles. Because of everything above. I bet you'd have a bunch of non-existent warthogs driving around.

Using mods that change the way you play the game are lousy to use in a server besides your own anyways. I accidently left my PepNess Playground BG in my map file, went to shoot someone and out came a MC instead of a bullet. Totally threw me off. I'm surprised i didn't have an exception xD

Midnight, we've told you the pelicans and longswords don't except anyone. Something is on your end.

Mostly anything weird or out of the ordinary (like an extra vehicle) will except a map in lobby servers. Extra flames minus the collision or effects won't. o0.

What DeadHamster said...

Infact, I found an exception error that pepsi didn't think was an exception error until he encounter it. :P

How about this...

Have some damn confidence in "THIS MOD" about exceptions and so forth that it will be tested in beta. If you have a issue with problems with FTW then take it to the FTW thread and post it there, NOT HERE.

And to solve all this I can simple make one statement to curb all this exception debate and thats this...

"These maps im working on will allow you to join ANY lobby game. If you choose to make your own game and host a game off your YOUR home ISP I can not guarantee all maps will work 100% if someone trys to join your home game without the mod installed. They will work when joining a dedicated server hosted by a server provider with "dedicated .map files".

Issue solved.

nice w.i.p. going out here... also pep i suggest you trying to add a bumpmap to the ground shaders like in beavercreek or bloodgulch to make it more realistic-looking and to be better looking. im sure you know how to do it... just shader-linking then resizes...

Also do you plan on finding a way to PMI the maps like beavercreek which if you PMI you wont be able to join lobby? here's what im talking about :
this is stating that if you make a modded map using hmt to rebuild, that map will not work in regular lobby servers. even if nothing is added to the map, just simply rebuilding it alone, it sill will not work in regular halo lobby servers. this in turn means if someone joins your home server they will have to have the exact map or they will except also when joining your game. im finding this out the hard way so im trying to put something up for future references.
the maps are chillout, sidewinder, icefields, wizard, beavercreek and prisoner. I hope you are going to try finding a way to avoid that regular lobby problem and to get the maps pmi'ed. also before you say you explained anything and so on, just to tell you im asking if you are going to find a way to get rid of that.
Sig over height limit.

/ Directed at developer only ->

You honestly have alot of nerve replying in my WIP thread with what you tried to pull over at ModHalo.

Im not going to add you as a friend on Xfire so stop sending me invites. I would suggest in the future for you to make your OWN mod and not base it off anyone one else's work expecially mine. If you know how to do all these things like your trying to give me advice on then I suggest you do it yourself to your OWN mod.

Yes im still very pissed at you for what you did yet again trying to pass PepNess's work off as your own. I know this isn't the place for this topic but I want it to be public so if ANYONE sees Redux, FTW or anything looking like those projects they know something is fishy.

Using my bitmaps is one thing, but having a 27+ page thread with you accepting praise for posting me and Ness's work as your own without even mentioning you were building off FTW/Redux is uncalled for. Im asking you nicely now to not reply in this thread again as your input or general presence is not welcome from mine, Ness, or the people I associate with point of view.

Have a good day Sir!

Gephy looks awesome.

I can only suggest what's already been suggested. As, I disliked how flames randomly come up during the floor. It just appears unrealistic.
However, you've already addressed that.

So keep it up.

all I have to say is LOL.

Pepsi, when this is done, we have to host the chat transcripts somewhere, edited ofcourse, we don't want to give some things away.

I am afraid to post here now, too much lulz. also, talked to Alt, he said unless you find him a directx plugin for RealBasic, or write him a rendering plugin for the app, using lots of matrix math and fun stuff like that, then currently what you asked for is not happening because it takes "forever" to load them.

Dude, if people would come in some of our mod discussions on Xfire I think they might be scared. But yeah.. lol.. I know what you mean thoe on the funniness.

As for Ghephy being compared to DECOYS Ghephy I could see where you would think that since they both do have a "fire pit" so to speak. But if you actually download DECOYS maps and play it you will see that there much more to it then a "fire pit". I remember playing that map way back when I was still skinning custom pistols for KW clan members to show off in their Halo montages. Its a very awesome map and you can tell alot of work went into it.

My origional idea for Ghephy as some know was to add a huge water plane under the bridge so it was like a bed of lava or something like that but because of issues with lobby connection exceptions and things not looking right to my standards I scrapped the idea and did the fire pit thing to compliment what I did in FTW in the first place.

Man.. I miss DECOY. He taught me alot of what I know today. Hell, he did and the rest of the HPC crew. Being a noob was so fun back then cause everything was so exciting and new.

"OMG! I CAN SHOOT NEEDLES OUT MY CHAINGUN!!!"

good times..

Pepsi, that's not DECOY's mod. At all. All he did was rebuild it for someone, and then somebody else did the rest of the work.

Oh, and I remembered this again, I always had it lodged in memory, thought I'd bring it up;
