Also, have you considered another hud? I've always had the idea, probably not a good one though, of having the ammo down the left side, and the shield/health down the right.

Im not keeeping it Gold.. RofL! Just something funny that happened while messing with a shader. When I went into game that was the first thing I thought of was Goldmember from Austin Powers saying... " I Like GOOOOLD".

Your partially right Andrew. Its distracting and its a gimmick I feel. While it may "look cool" doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. Im seriously just not feeling it cause it doesnt flow with the scenery its sitting in so I taking it back to how I had it. Sorry for all you gold lovers but im just not partial to it.
Quick Tut:
To make your Boarding Action ship "gold" just copy the meta for the chief's visor over the "cube map space". You can do the same effect without messing with shaders and will almost look the same.
Anywho..
Here's the finalized screens for BeaverCreek. Judge them at will and ill try to make a cute FLV movie for it later.

Ok, heres my modding process for thoes saying "do this, do that"..
1. Layout themes for maps and build a proof of concept.
2. Get approval on theme and execute total map revamp.
3. Work on multi vehicle skins for each themed map.
4. Do weapons if need be.
5. Work on UI and HUD interface.
6. Release ALPHA to my usual testers.
7. Let Bcnipod begin MAC conversion.
8. Work on misc skins that dont need to be EOF'd.
9. Release Beta to testers and let them post feedback and screens.
10. Add my Easter Eggs.
Release Mod.
Just for thoes who wanted to know or have asked lately.
