So I'm sitting here at 6:40am watching some South Park episodes on my computer, when all of a sudden I hear my dorm door rattle a bit. Well, might just be some guys walking by it, I think. I ignore it.
A few seconds later, a more significant bump. Eh, probably a crowd of the guys. Whatever. But after that, there's some definite knocks. My room mate is asleep at this point, so I go to answer the door. Who is there, you might ask?
A naked guy. A half-awake, semi-conscious drunk naked guy. I promptly tried to close the door, but he attempted to keep it open and said "no dude, hold on". So I decide to hear him out, after all, he's naked at 6:40am on a Sunday after what I can assume was a walk "home" in 20 degree weather, most likely also while naked. He was noticeably shivering and said he was freezing, and while I'm not about to give this dude my clothes, giving him a towel to cover himself was the least I could do (told him I'd be "needing that back at some point", but chances I'll actually get it back are slim to none).
So at this point, I'm at least able to look at him, so I grabbed my key and walked out in to the hall, so I could talk without waking my room mate. I asked him what he was doing, and he said he was looking for his friend's dorm. Obviously, my first question following this was inquiring if he had been drinking that night. Ladies and gentlemen, text your answers in now.
If you guessed yes (although when I asked he said no first, then changed to yes shortly thereafter), CONGRATULATIONS! You win! Anyways, now that I'd established the obvious, I figured I'd at least attempt to figure out his situation. I asked him if he knew where he lived. He supplied the correct dorm name and floor, so I figured he had at least that much right, maybe he's not completely drunk. Apparently he thought that I lived next to his room and that his room mate wasn't awake or something. At this point I ask what dorm he lived in, since the names he gave me were not the names of my "neighbors", and started walking down the hall with him looking for it. We get about two or three rooms down and he says he'll just find it on his own. I wasn't at all eager to keep this experience going, so I just told him alright and sent him on his way, watching him stagger down the hall towards what I can only hope was his room.
In short, now I only have one towel.
