He is editing the memory of the xex, the modification isn't in the xex itself. He is changing an address using a program on his PC. Oh also why do the respawn points appear normal and everything else appears wire frame. Does "fill" only apply to the bsp of the level and not objects?
The respawn points are wire frame, some objects at far distance the the wire frame will blend to make it look solid.

(A)They have no sbsp's there simply just raw containers, they don't open in a normal map editor.

(A)They made it pretty touchy, I think if one player was lagging and others weren't then the AI wouldn't be syncing proper, that's why it freezes until the network issue is dealt with.

I love to see any progress or just a show off of what you can do with a XDK ... just amazing.
I have some questions :
(Q)Is anyone working on saved film modification ?
Will we be able any time to do it like in Counter Strike to just extract a camera path and paste it into an another film (on the same map ofcourse).
(Q)Are you able do activate that "Ping" and "Host" hud extensions ?
I know that they´re allready inside the code but are this thinks "ready to enable" ?
(Q)Do someone try to modificate the "Saved Film" feature on its own ?

I found where it renders the camera location debug text in local and I made it always render it (local, syslink, etc..). Here's a quick screenshot I took.

But the most interesting thing for me is the "1.2 Hacked" thing.
Do you can run unsigned PIRS and LIVE Containers aswell ?
Or even (and better) run extracted content ?
