Look in the ultimate collision sticky topic.

Your gonna need to extract the tag in HMT, open it in a hex editor, locate the hex for the position of the coordinates for each vertice and multiply them in hex by the amount you increased your model, for every single vertice. It won't be fun, and quite frankly is way out of your skill level.

No offense, but you're a new modder, so you should look into easier things. Collision Model editing is not one of them.

Stop double posting,
A) It's against the rules Read them before posting any more.
B) It has only been 20 minutes
C) Not everyone is always on and browsing.

You need to stop sucking Halomods' help nipple and find things out for yourself sometimes.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

There is a tutorial section for a reason. Go find tutorials on what you want.

You have to know what you are looking for and at least partially understand what you are doing when you experiment.

You're proving you don't by asking for a tutorial on everything.

also try an find some one who will be willing to work with you on msn or something some of the things you where asking about i know for a fact theres tuts for because I've been reading a lot of them

I'm happy to help people who aren't stuck up and ignorant, actually. I'll give you some advice: do what I did and learn to mod pretty well before you post any help-related questions.

ok, just trying to make sense of this, a collision model is the area that an object takes damage with? hmm.. idea!

A "Boss" level could be created, with the "area of damage" being somewhere within the grunt, heart for esample, then have say only a few shots with a sniper rifle to take it out, sniper bullets overpenetate grunts so it should hit the damage area if placed right.

Maybe a bit off topic but if anything that I said makes sense it could give a few ideas for anyone reading this giant grunt topic in the future.

good luck anyway

That makes sense, except that the grunt would fall into the ground until it hit the heart. Collision is just that, the collision of objects and their environment.

Meaning shots hitting the "grunt" from any weapon would go straight through, unless it hit the heart.

Like when you hit a rock, and cant go through. That's collision. The reason you cant fall through the ground? Collision.

Interestingly, you can set your crouch collision height to 0 and fall through the BSP. Or using a trigger with force, point the weapon down, shoot and then hold crouch to move up through objects.

Just fun stuff to play around with whilst bored.

actually, yeah. i do wanna make a boss type level lol!
i wanna make a juggernaut flood in two betrayals out of a covenant combat form. super strong, alot of hit points, and slow (if possible)!
just a theory...:)

oh for a giant grunt, just supply him with 9999999... hit points! or weaken your guns power! i'm still learning to collision modify tho.
(hex edit is so complicated... :? )
