Single Player films
Does anyone know what i would have to do to change my character from master chief to a grunt? would it be like modding a multiplayer save film, and if so what values do i change?

I was unaware that single player films were even capable of being accessed...
I sincerely doubt the possibility, for a grunt may not have certain animations for the gun Master Chief / Arbiter was using at the time.
Not to mention, I'm relatively certain they're not accessible...

It is expected, and demanded.Tural wrote:MrMurder, we're going to hold you to that promise.
You can get single player films off of your Xbox 360 the same way you get multiplayer ones. I have a few on my PC.Aumaan Anubis wrote:I was unaware that single player films were even capable of being accessed...

my film does not call on those animations, because all my guy does is shoot a needler and plasma pistol, tebag, and jump up and down.SPARTAN-OMEGA wrote:Yes Im pretty sure it does but it causes freezing because of animation problems

Then you have no idea how picky the Blam! API is when it comes to continuity problems.Gruntlord5 wrote:my film does not call on those animations, because all my guy does is shoot a needler and plasma pistol, tebag, and jump up and down.SPARTAN-OMEGA wrote:Yes Im pretty sure it does but it causes freezing because of animation problems

For the people wondering, you can access the films, and always have been.
You cannot record a clip of said film, though.
What did he change? He swapped the bipd... what else would he have done?
Have you ever modded Halo?vid3ogameaddict wrote:No, I highly doubt their is even a grunt model in the map even if you could swap it.

You would find the Grunt's identifier in Johnson or Engineer, find the Masterchief's identifier in the film, and overwrite the Masterchief identifier with the Grunt's.

I wanted to mod a sp film so I was a grunt, so I tried to change the identifier for the master chief with a grunt, it didn’t work, so I checked the research on film modding. I soon realised that I was doing it completely wrong. But I do not know what to change. Can you help me?
I never really messed with films much, CON mods don't interest me much.
And I don't mind helping, I like helping people, any time you need help, tell me.

overhauled for clarity:
-----------------------------
So veegie, previously you've pointed out (^^) that there is a byte that determines what biped you will be in a video in single player campaign. My question is then two parts
1)Does the byte identify the biped by something like: Masterchief is 0x01 so if the byte is 01 then the biped is master chief. Defines a byte to correspond to specific predetermined bipeds.
2) (now basically irrelevant anyway): Does the byte(s) actaully reference the biped tag that the respective person is?
sorry, i hope the message is a little clearer now.
