Terrain Bunker Model
Terrain Bunker Model
Once again, I cannot actually fully 100% texturize it yet until SDK comes out...BUT! I did manage to finish this model ready for textures.
200 Polys exactly.
You may be asking yourself what that big pillar thing is, if you've played perfect dark, you would know what the pillar is. I love perfect dark.
Anyways......please post if you like it or not, thank you.

This isn't for a flag position. This is a bunker just out in the battlefield that you jump in because you getting pounded from thrown grenades.Hivemind wrote:well, were gunna have to see how u use it... i mean sure its a base.. but its not good enough for a flag.. theres no good gaurding.. no teleport spot, its just not big enough.. wait.. i have a new computer.. im rite now reinstalling 3ds max on my new 120 gig hardrive (my old hdd failed.. so u know, i gotta upgrade..) and then ill show u what i mean by guardable

since i dont know what perfect dark is, why dont u explain... and just a simple question, is that a single mesh or not? (it looks like it.. but you know how it is)
edit** oh, almost frogot, since im using 3ds max (very similiar to gmax) i was just curious if u knew how to turn on a "grid: per say.. and make evrything align to the grid (otherwise i have to zoom in to get everything exactly where i want it) thx if u know

I'm not sure about aligning with any of the grids, but most of the grid lines are in incriments of 1, 10, and so one. Keep the numbers nice easy numbers. Believe it or not, this bunker has even points (like 10 and 2.5, don't go any smaller than 0.25 differences )Hivemind wrote:edit** oh, almost frogot, since im using 3ds max (very similiar to gmax) i was just curious if u knew how to turn on a "grid: per say.. and make evrything align to the grid (otherwise i have to zoom in to get everything exactly where i want it) thx if u know
The tutorial for all those who want to know is in the halomods tutorials section. I WILL be making an SDK tutorial whenever it comes out and gets the chance.
EDIT: I'll post a direct link on my sig for the tutorial for GMax after this post.
Grid Size...Hivemind wrote:yes.. how do i change the gridsize tho.. im using 3ds max (repeating myself now) and i know the grid is infinetly set.. not at the 10, and 2.5 incriments.. where is the setting for this in gmax? thx.. but whats up with perfect dark?
Menu Bar > Grid and Snap settings > Home Grid > Grid Spacing.
That's how it's done with GMax. Snapping is in the same option box (duss the name Grid and "SNAP" settings). That should help you align things pretty well. (Hope this much helps, but I'm using GMax...)
Perfect Dark...
N64 game. Was awsome with graphics (at the time), gameplay was great, story line was well put together, and the "combat simulator" which made awsome multiplayer. Just search google and find stuff on PD there.
PS: Reading posts aren't always easy to understand. I am trying to help as many people as I can. Please bare with me if I miss read posts...

hmm, cant seem to get 3ds max to snap to grid, that sux.. i need to use a grid to build good looking models.. im sure ill figure it out... just kinda odd, i found my settings (3ds max has way to many settings.. ) but cant make vertexes snap to a grid, they snap to pixel... lol, and im running at 1600x1200, so theres a lot of pixels, lol
