Listened to an Eiffel 65 CD again since... I don't know how long ago..
They actually have some enjoyable songs on there. They also have some pretty ridiculous ones, though. They go kinda over-kill on vocal effects, though.

E.G., I now listen to a lot of Vera Lynn (30's), as well as Frank Sinatra (40's).

Hey guys, I'm in trouble here. I get new music like all the time. I got a 180 gig ipod for my birthday last year, so I've been on a quest to fill it up. I'm on a good track so far, but I'm starting to hit a wall when it comes to tasteful stuff that I'll listen to on a regular basis. I'm the type of person that doesn't like to just fill something up with stuff I'll never listen to. If I get it, I listen to it. Anyway, my request for you guys is to help me find some new tasteful things to get. I would be specific, but really as long as it's not rap or country, I'm willing to hear your suggestions out.

And maybe a few others.

I've noticed that I share a lot of similar tastes as you guys, so if you have something I might not know about, help me out. Like I said, I'll listen to about anything; though I'm trying to keep music fairly clean for the most part. It doesn't have to be straightedge Christian or anything, but I'd like to steer clear of the Killwhitneydead type stuff for now. Thanks it advanced.

To SHOUT...

A Perfect Circle, Tool and Chevelle are all pretty solid (I think you already know this though ;p). iTunes preview feature + YouTube the song if you need any reassurance. I like some Deftones tracks...White Pony was a good CD (Maynard recorded the vocals in Passenger, and Change is just a good song in general), and Saturday Night Wrist has a few good tracks (Hole in the Earth, Cherry Waves and Beware are all good...Pink Cellphone is one to definitely steer clear of if you want some clean tracks though). The Slip by Nine Inch Nails should still be available as a free download, so that's always worth giving a shot.

If you want a little bit of techno, Juno Reactor's got some good stuff...Komit's my personal favorite song they have, but there's plenty to choose from. Bible of Dreams was a really good album. Daft Punk's Alive 2008 was a fantastic CD, the mixes on it are very solid, and it's a recording of a concert, so the whole CD is basically one huge track that flows together perfectly...great to listen to it all at once when working on something for a long period of time.

Or you could do what I do, just go to Pandora and let it discover new things for you.

My taste is really wide. Anywhere in the Jazz, almost all metal, Techno, Classic rock, Acoustic, Indie, lame chick band only I would like, Reggae, et cetera. Thanks Gametag and Cox. We must have really similar taste, for I already have discographies of 90% of those bands. I'll check out the other 10% when I get home. I really appreciate it.

The Slip by NIN, as GTAF said, is a very good album. Also get the Ghosts series if you want some instrumental music.
