You all do realize that with increased options or features, the speed of the browser will be reduced, don't you? Hence, no Ad-Block or any other 'special features' that some have been complaining about. And EVERYONE has been raving about the speed. Please make up your mind.

Yes, but it shouldn't hinder the speed to such a point that we call it "slow". :?

Am I the only one who thought it was actually slower than FF and IE?

DarkShallFall, you should do a little researching before 'Fack you Google chrome' because there was a specific intent on each tab having it's own process. This is a quote from Wikipedia "Each tab in Chrome is sandboxed into its own process to prevent malware from installing itself or using what happens in one tab to affect what happens in another" This means, each process is stripped of it's rights and can compute but can not write files or read from sensitive areas (ie My Document, Desktop, etc). To an informed individual this really makes a lot of sense. Do I need to go into further details?

Also, if you copy and paste a link into the address bar, you can actually click 'Paste and go' rather than just paste. Self explanatory, I hope.

Did you NOT check out the tools and options and find where you can specify home page or pages? Is nine not enough for you?

Yes.

Edit#2: DrXThirst, you are right, it shouldn't but unfortunately it does. Alas, the imperfect world we all live in.

So how much are you being paid to join forums and talk about Chrome and cite Wikipedia a source? Heck, I'll help if you give me a cut.

Rofl, Internet forum drama is FTW.

Is the beta even worth downloading?

Does anyone suspect that the 'final' will be much better, or is it so incompetent that I should probably just ignore the whole project?

Edit: Is that like, the record for the user who got RCed the fastest?

Yes.

From my experiences, no.

I have no faith in them on this project if this is what they consider to be suitable for a public beta. This is really alpha, or even pre-alpha work, there's no way they should be calling this a beta and distributing it, it just isn't ready.

Could be.

I think it is

But yeah the final will probably be a lot better once they get all their feedback.

BTW, guys, I think it was supposed to be not released yet, and it was supposed to be released one month from now or whatever, but if you didn't know, it was leaked, somewhat forcing google to release it earlier.

Only by a few days I read, not a few months. I would question Google if they decided to release something a month or so early, reducing a lot of time to fix bugs because the comic was sent out early.

Drop the chatter of what went down, continue on with the subject at hand.
I was pretty sure chrome was going to take up more ram with its multiple processes loading at once, I mean in a single line one thing at a time happens whereas on chrome it can load multiple things which are assigned their own ram.

So... everything submitted using Chrome gets sent to Google? :?

That can't be right.

EDIT: They're claiming it was a copy and paste error.
