Film editing problems
Film editing problems
i keep having problems with editing my films in vanity
ive tried using entire game videos and clips and still the same thing
when i put the films back on my hard drive and try to watch them they just show up unmodded
this is exactly what i do
i open the unmodded film in Vanity
make my changes and save after every player i edit
open up my rehasher and re hash it
then i use skatezeros and superaison CON resigner and resign it
i transfer back to my HDD
then i try them in halo and they dont work

Re: Film editing problems
Some films won't show the edits when you edit armor.wo0ts wrote:i keep having problems with editing my films in vanity

Re: Film editing problems
i think that resigner rehashes it because as you have probably seen it does have the power to needed to hash the clips/ so it would write over the has you made otherwise.wo0ts wrote: open up my rehasher and re hash it

well the process of resigning gives you a small little block of hex just after the header like:

its the yellow block, the true purpose of this is just to keep things out
however there is hash of the contents of the file ensuring they are all okay and that they are secure, somewhat

and that my friend is they key because there are two blocks of the hash (Sha1, right), that i have found in the usermaps and depending on the size of the file there can be 8192 bytes between both of them.
now you may think well what does this have to do with films, well with films say 10 mbs large whereas a usermap is 116 to 176 kbs the time it takes to create at the data accurately can be quite a challenge. This is the largest flaw of most publicly available resigners, they are quick but can become very inaccurate at these large sizes. Also the little block at the top is based off the hash so if its wrong then well...
(note: i could and probably, knowing my luck, will be wrong with the specifics but i..think...that the general idea is close.

If he can play the film that means his resigner is working...CompKronos wrote:well the process of resigning gives you a small little block of hex just after the header like:

Make sure it's a small film.wo0ts wrote:ok well now after i mod an entire saved film i resign and rehash then transfer back to my HDD (after ive deleted the original film) it just says the file is corrupted
Senor_Grunt: Okay, so, I was playing CoD4 earlier, and about 30 minutes into playing, the screen went black, then flashed, then the 360 gave me red rings. Only, they weren't rings, they were half of the ring. Like, only two of the controller light thingies were light up red. WTF does this mean? Like seriously. My 360 still works, but it does that like once every week at the least, and it's getting annoying getting to round 16 in the zombie mode for CoD5 (so totally not bragging ), then suddenly blacking out. :[

Also I haven't found it part of a factor of time thus far.
