metal hands
i've been reskinning the FP cyborg hands model to look like a marine's hands and arms, and it's working great, except the hands are covered in the "detail corroded metal" texture, how do i fix this?

Try these hands.
I have not tested them in-game, but just see if they are better, if not, I'll start over and try again.

injected model gives me an exception and it wont let me load the model back up in HMT to reinject my backup
nevermind, i extracted the meta from the d20.map i pulled from my CD, and injected it into the one from the corrupted d20.map, now it loads up fine, and i reinjected the model, this time i said no to new indices and it still loads in HMT, now for the in-game test...

i got that problem fixed already, now im having trouble with the big plate of skin colored metal on the FP hands
btw vette that model didn't work
i guess i'll just leave the model, it's too hard to notice when you're actually playing to matter

If you need to remove the metal texture on that it should be the same procedure as before just with the armored hands tag. You're also going to want to null the reflections on it.AbeFroman wrote:i got that problem fixed already, now im having trouble with the big plate of skin colored metal on the FP hands

ive tried this before, well not the whole skinning part, but remodeling the spartans fp arm/hand then trying to reimport it back, and i can never get it to work...
heh, is it even possible?
i think this was done before, well the concept of skinning the hands to be more like a persons, i believe someone made a cs like hand, with the texture like the one above but with the gloves that had the finger tips cut off...

I do remodels. I currently am trying to do custom remodels. Check out my models pack: http://bfeo.org/forum/index.php?topic=1160.0
