do you mean the stretched out blood gulch texture? (the sand texture) or the texture i want to stretch out? (the sand texture on every other map)

That's in the [senv] tag. Edit the secondary detail to be lower. It has nothing to do with bitmaps.

Well this just proves that it's better to ask a question, rather than whether or not a solution will work, as it can get people confused as to what you are trying to do.

"make textures bigger" is a kinda bad way of phrasing it.

I'd like to add that it seems that you can edit the Primary Detail Map Scale to have the same effect as changing the detail level but it is much more customizable. You can also edit the secondary detail map scale and the micro detail map scale. All of those are found under the same senv tag as the detail levels.
