do you mean the stretched out blood gulch texture? (the sand texture) or the texture i want to stretch out? (the sand texture on every other map)

That's in the [senv] tag. Edit the secondary detail to be lower. It has nothing to do with bitmaps.

yep, only thing is that it has to be changed for every map but, aside from that it does work, thanks man

Well this just proves that it's better to ask a question, rather than whether or not a solution will work, as it can get people confused as to what you are trying to do.

good: how do I make textures cover a larger area?
Bad: Will this make textures bigger?
If your not sure, ask how to do it, not suggest your own solution. Like Philly said, it'll confuse people.
"make textures bigger" is a kinda bad way of phrasing it.

don't recall posting a solution and asking if it will work, but the making textures bigger thing in the last post was just for example purposes cuz i'm lazy

I'd like to add that it seems that you can edit the Primary Detail Map Scale to have the same effect as changing the detail level but it is much more customizable. You can also edit the secondary detail map scale and the micro detail map scale. All of those are found under the same senv tag as the detail levels.
