Mac DXTweaker
Mac DXTweaker
Is there something along the lines of DXTweaker, if not is someone developing one, and/or would it be possible too? Personally I feel it greatly enhances the look of the game, and it's a shame that those on Mac OS X can't enjoy it as well. Any comments with answers are appreciated.

Is the problem with the operating system, with Halo's code, what? A link to the topic or a direction towards alt's words would be useful. And by "the long answer" do you simply mean an explanation as to why it won't work, or how it works?

I know how the DXT compression (aka S3TC) works and posted a small bit of info on that. But as I understand it, you want to right something that talks to DirectX and Halo right? Halo mac I'm pretty sure was ported to OGL, so that'd be the first place to look. From my browsing it looks like there's nothing in development and the best you can do is use the built in options and maybe if you have an ATI card play with those setting a bit.
Thanks for the quick response and good info, Alt. Hmm. Shame that no-one with the know-how is doing anything. I think I'll go take a look at some of the settings in Halo then.Altimit01 wrote:I know how the DXT compression (aka S3TC) works and posted a small bit of info on that.
