Halo: realistic tech (check pg 6, suggestions please!)
post has been edited with links to pictures of what i have decided are the modern variants of the "new" halo weapons, in other words, the halo weapons are now futuristic versions of the weapons i link to
A while back some guy on xbl was trash talking about halo, saying how unrealistic it is, like technology wise.
For example, todays assault rifles are far better than the one in halo
another example, MARINES AREN'T DUMBASSES IRL
So thats really what made me decide to make this mod...details, pics, and DL below:
Features with pics
First of all, why would the army/marines just give up on camouflage in the future? bungie thinks so, but i think bungie is stupid, marines(who now have improved AI as well as the covenant), and pelican now have camo (pelican's is less noticeable, also a bad pic of the pelican) warthog (M25 Warthog LRV) is faster, turret [ Phalanx CIWS modified for use on LRVs ] starts slower, gets faster, and now is painted for snowy terrain
Next, Master chief now has a "camo" skin that works with any color, just to reinforce that point i took pics of a few colors instead of just one
Sniper (M82A6 SASR)has bigger clip, can carry more rounds, a camo pattern, and is capable of shooting faster, desert hog and desert scorpion bitmaps over the rocket warthog and...well the scorpion
AR (FN F7000) has scope(yes, it's actually visible on the gun), slightly bigger clip, less spread, faster ROF, and brand new skin!

Rocket launcher (AT9) shoots faster, projectiles are faster, and have a more noticeable contrail
features without pics
Pistol (.50 magnum Mark XXI Desert Eagle) ROF increased, no more fully auto pistol
shotgun (Remington 3400 Tactical shotgun) faster ROF, having trouble with that though, kinda buggy, supposed to be a semi auto shotty, also more accurate
tank (M5 Abrams Main Battle tank) shoots faster, secondary machine gun can actually kill something now
flamethrowers replacing plasma pistols on library, have fun
speaking of flame throwers, they got some distance now, but you gotta aim a bit high, cuz gravity effects the projectiles, not too high though, it doesn't effect them THAT much
The covenant are supposed to be a "highly advanced alien race" that would mean they have better technology than us, bungie agrees on this at least and gave them plasma weapons, but...plasma is what the SUN is made out of, it's gotta burn REALLY REALLY bad when it hits you...well this mod won't do that, but it WILL make plasma do more damage than before.
also plasma rifles have a scope, shoot faster, and have faster projectiles
plasma pistols have faster projectiles
needler has a more steady ROF, needles are faster
ghost is faster, and faster ROF
banshee is faster, also faster ROF
everything is more dramatic with this mod for some reason
due to AI changes in the campaign, its recommended you do one or more of the following three things:
Lower your prefered difficulty
change your play style
cheat
one last pic of the bitmaps.map, NEW LAG SYMBOL!
SP being released separately from MP for 2 reasons:
1. i might decide i don't wanna work on this mod anymore and this will at least get some of the mod out
2. multiplayer mods tend to not work unless everyone has the mod, so therefore some people might want just the SP
because I'm releasing them separately, im releasing the bitmaps.map separately to avoid hosting 2 copies of the bitmaps.map
NONE OF THIS is based off of halo 3, so don't go telling everyone about the new halo 3 mod that just got released, cuz there is no halo 3 mod that just got released, this is a halo 1 mod, except its a more realistic view on halo 1. that also means don't get on my case about the new crosshairs, cuz THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE THE ONES IN HALO 3
edit: I noticed that the color scheme for the camo on the marines is the same as the one for the marines in halo 2 (camo clothes, plain green armor) so i thought i'd add that any resemblance to halo 2 or 3 is purely coincidental
known bugs
AR multipurpose
the attempt at a banshee and ghost reskin didn't do shit (they are still plain purple)
pelican is very shiny
MC is shiny on AOTCR
the AR scope crosshairs are supposed to be lime green
the flood on library hold flamethrowers wierd
I think there is a flamethrower on Keyes with like 14 rounds in it instead of a sniper
warthog windshield is greenish
i think that's everything, if you notice something i missed lemme know
MP version will be added to this thread when it comes out, same with V2

you have permission to use any of these skins in any of your mods as long as you give me credit, if i see a mod with my skins in it and i don't have credit, i'll just give myself credit, dont worry about being penalized
if you DL, silent cartographer gives a good view of the pelican's skin

not really, i believe the sniper scope has an interconnection to his mask.
i mean you cant exactly look through it, ....so its probably a live feeding camera.

This mod looks great though. I can't really try out the Campaign mods right now but the skins are awesome. 8/10 for the skins.

the MC skins are part of the mod, if u backup your old files, DL the mod and extract the MC skins you get just those if thats what your asking for
