I know that that's roughly $2.40 ish, but I have no idea how much that is per gallon or whatever, nor can I be bothered to work it out.

Basically, if I put £10 in my car, ($20) I can get 65 miles, and I have a small-engined car.
i work at a petrol station and the place is selling fuel@
121.9p per litre petrolium
138.9p per litre Diesel
the garage only gets about half a penny per litre the rest of government taxs and exchange rates for crude oil.

Its similar here too. Petrol is on the rise to $1.7/litre and probably going to be around $2 by the end of the year judging from all the rises. It is taxed but even with opposition pressures, our government refuses to lift them. If that were removed its only delaying the issue by a small amount of time (I think its only about 5-8 cents a litre taxed)

It also seems that the sensor bar for the Wii comes pre-broken! SUPERB!

scotty, the government over here ihas been considering adding a extra 2p to the "duty tax" of petroleum, though i hardly see how petroleum has anything to do with citizen duty just another way of robbing people of the sweat from their brow.
My rant: as bad as things are at this moment with inflation at 3%-5% the house of lords have the nerve to consider raising taxs and adding more even though due to their incompetence they keep loosing private data.
I am starting to loose patience with labor and feel that Britain has been boned both ways we either have some psychopath who wishes to ban LCD displays or we have thick skulled fool who feels that everyone owes him the fact that it wasnt even the people who voted the guy into power infuriates me even more by his arrogance of his position and ignorance of the general publics thoughts.

I can't send files, or do video chats on iChat. When I do, after that I can't send any messages until I quit out and then log back in.

Can anyone help?

I'm pretty sure my ISP is ripping us off, we're playing more than my friend currently is and getting less than half the internet speed of him.
This is with my new modem to, so if it doesn't improve within the next couple days I won't be happy and they're going to have to deal with it.

Are you trying to send files to other iChat users? I always have problems when my iChat friend tries to send me files, and vice versa. I need to log onto an older version of AIM just to send/recieve files from him.

I hate waiting for packages to come on. Especially for something as awesome as a new video card. I can't play any computer games until it comes in.. I want to play some Crysis. Tomorrows the last day until the weekend, and they don't ship packages around on weekends.. so that's two extra days I'd be delayed :\
I know it's against the sacred rules of the rant thread, but I has happiness I need to add into it. I don't feel like making two posts about the same thing.
I'm pretty glad I'm getting it though. Computer games are a lot cheaper than 360 games.. Significantly cheaper.

Slept in to 1:00 PM today (PST). That's fine, because I've been having jetlag from China (I came back two days ago), but my parents aren't letting me fucking stay up (at least not to do anything). Basically, all I can do in here is sit here on my sub-par PowerBook with a broken closing screen and no games and browse. And I'm still not tired.

Fuck.

Also, RTS games are the only games which should never, EVER have been ported to consoles. I tried playing the Command and Conquer 3 demo. Camera is twitchy as shit and you have to aim directly at a unit to select it. No fucking thanks.

Indeed. If only they could make keyboard and mouse support... Because I'm not interested in updating a laptop to play RTS's...

Anyway, can anyone verfiy this for me? This is a rant because I can't figure it out. Call me arrogant or whatever, but I wanted to see how many possibly combinations in GEEMC there are. There are 119 items to choose from in total (cheats, heads, shoulders [left and right], vehicles, Pweapons, etc etc) and the most you can equip at one time is 12....
So is this right? Or am I way off?

Yet Halo Wars is being made specifically for a console. *yawn*. Granted it'll be slightly better since it's on console first, but it'll still suck.

I'm still waiting for an RTS game with a cover system in place. I was under the impression we stopped standing in one spot and sharing bullets back in the revolutionary war (or earlier). I haven't bought an RTS in a long time but i'd buy one in an instant if there was increased damage but your units would take cover and blindfire, sprint to new new locations when necessary. There is some strategy involved in RTS games, but most of the time I lose because I get pissed off at my individual units for being absolute failures while the enemy is blasting a whole through my base.

I'd also play an RTS more if they were more realistic. Tanks can't take 50 missiles and still roll down the path (easy fix: make rockets slower and miss more...) Snipers in these games are useless. The closest there is to a sniper is somebody that sneaks into bases and plants explosives, etc.
