Honestly, I didn't like halo 3. So unless you get a tank that shoots toaster strudel I ain't interested.

Halo 4 is very likely, considering Bungie kept to their old ways of answering plot questions in Halo 3.

The only way I think I'd be interested in another Halo game would be if it were squad-based like R6V:2 or something.

That'd be interesting.

As much as it'd be weird and unlikely, I'd be interested in more of a tactical version of Halo as well, where you play as someone other than the chief. The whole shield crap really pisses me off and it's the main reason I don't play it online much (UT style gameplay as opposed to Rainbow Six, somewhat).

Like I said, it's unlikely. It'd be nothing like the current Halo and it wouldn't go over well.

On another note, playing with a squad of spartans wouldn't necessarily be bad either, it'd likely have to be set in a different time period, but it would be a nice change. Rather than constantly running and escaping the entire time, I think it'd sort of be interesting to actually be on the offense (I don't mean like attacking the power generator to disable the shield.. so we can escape)

I think it would be good if it was like Mario on the NES, like a side scrolling 2D platform game.

That would make Halo 4 perfect. I think Bungie will do that, probably.

if they did make halo 4 i dont think it would be good unless they got a really great story.

also if theyd o make a level when your marines are grouped up with friendly hunters and grunts(and elites)

They wouldn't go with playing as marines, this is HALO. If they did then it wouldn't be any fun. I can barley beat campaign on Legendary with a shielded super soldier.

I have been thinking about this for along time... I want to see Halo... but with more Space ships and crap like that. I want to command my own freighter and shoot MAC rounds at covenant ships.

I dunno, But there are only really a few possible story lines that could make halo four.

-Marathon.
-Spartan 3 Idea
-Covenant Side ie. Elite's vs Brutes.

Seriously, a squad-based Halo game based on the novels (ex: the realism of the novels as compared to the liberties taken in the Halo series so far, i.e. plasma rifles burn off marines limbs and such). Tactical shooters like R6V2 and GoW are my favorite types of FPS games. A Halo game where you play as like, a squad of spartans, or marines, or ODSTs, or Elites, etc. would be a must-buy for me if it had mechanics similar to GoW and R6V2. To put it simply, a little while ago, my idea of the perfect Halo game was just GoW replaced with Spartan and marines for COG player models and Elites and brutes for Locus and replace all the weapons with Halo weapons.

I'm fairly certain the writers of those books are given artistic freedom...meaning what they say in the books isn't necessarily canon or anything.
