i love the multilayer best in halo 2,
halo 3 looked sweet, but i gave me headaches for some reason....
and halo one, i like its sniping best cause how you had to lead your target in order to hit him.
i liked having that skill.
and also halo 3 had a feel that i just wasn't fond of.

Halo 3 = Halo 1 > Halo 2. Don't get me wrong, Halo 2 was a great game, it just has more cons (for me) than the other two. It's basically like this:
Halo 1 pros
Introduced the series with great cutscenes.
Had just enough packed into it to make it a great game.
I feel immersed when playing it.
Forest environments a beautiful and make me think of sentimental stuff.
SP done really well, and MP fun.
Easy to mod on the computer.
Halo 1 cons
Lack of features, but the game is fun nonetheless.
MP, while fun, is somewhat unbalanced (tank wtf).
Fuck the Library, but each Halo game has this, so not really.
Halo 2 pros
Brought the story into new perspectives with the Covenant, making it more intricate and therefore interesting.
New features like boarding and dual-wielding improve gameplay.
Same as above with weapons and vehicles.
Cutscenes are better than Halo 1's and only a tiny bit worse than Halo 3's.
Multiplayer has been brought to Xbox LIVE, which increases the appeal of the game and balances the skilled and the unskilled.
Multiplayer is much more balanced (but it's not without its problems).
Has a great feel to it (Delta Halo and Sanctuary are so aesthetic and beautiful maps, as with many others too).
Halo 2 cons
BR is too powerful. You feel like God himself while holding that damn thing.
Flood are powerful; they are nearly invincible against everything except "headshots" and shotguns and explosions.
Sniping is just weird in Halo 2's multi-player. I can never hit anything, but I'm pretty solid with the Halo 1 and 3 snipers.
Lock-on should have been disabled in multi-player. Srsly.
Glitches unbalance multi-player games.
I still get this small feeling of detachedness when playing Halo 2. It's decreased over time, but it doesn't quite feel like a Halo game. It's hard to explain.
Some of the multi-player levels are terrible, but for the most part they're pretty good.
Cliffhanger can go let go of the cliff and die.
Miranda Keyes sucks in Halo 2.
Halo 3 pros
Weapons balanced even more.
Story is great. Has quite a few twists and turns that I didn't expect, and you feel really into it.
When I play Halo 3, I feel immersed, and I love it.
Hornet <3.
Explosions look much better – in fact, the graphics are amazing. This one of the games highest points – but it's also one of its worst. I'll explain later.
Keyes is more badass now.
Splazer.
Maps are great. Even Isolation and Epitaph aren't bad, just overused. Same with Snowbound.
Forge + Theater = win.
Skulls + scoring = win.
Halo 3 matchmaking moved ahead of Halo 2's by lightyears.
Armor permutations.
The flood have become more interesting, but there are some downsides.
Equipment.
Noob combo gone.
Halo 3's cons
Feeling of beauty and sentimentality I felt in the other games is gone. I think the graphics kind of make the stuff more blunt. Like in Halo 1 and 2, I loved the rain, but I didn't even give a crap when it rained on the Storm.
A bit short.
Tripmine is underpowered. Seriously. Can't even kill a Spartan with no powerups whatsoever.
Flood, though they have become more interesting, now become more annoying as a biproduct. The example is fucking Cortana. >:U
Guilty Spark was damn stupid at the end.
Human faces are rough compared to everyone else's.
Some levels are so overused in matchmaking it makes me want to bash through a wall with an alarm clock.
End of comparison.
All three Halo games have their pros and cons, it's just that Halo 1 and 3 outweighed theirs more-so than Halo 2's. Halo 2 is still a great game, but the other two are better.
