How about you guys make it a patch file so the download isn't so big...

make it a .ppf file so you can use it with ppf o matic. Easier on the hard drive space also.

Well you could make a sized PPF but its harder but he did the EOF trick so that the bitmaps only effect the level's there on increasing the size of the bitmaps.map file did i get all that right?

Yup, you got it all. EOF adds new slots to the bitmaps.map, and re-references the bitmaps in the map to the new parts.

Pepsi are you going to do it like this again or use something else, like conure's internalizer? Just FYI, conure's program makes map get really big really really fast.

TBH i still avent figured out what the bitmap internalizer does :P does it do what the EOF trick does just better?

No, the internalizer is even better then EOF. Instead of placing bitmaps in new slots in bitmaps.map, it adds them into the map itself. Meaning that all you have to send for everybody to see you're skins in a big mod, such as FTD or FTW, would be the map files. However, every bitmap you internalize adds filesize to the map, and it adds up quickly.

And I'd like to know what you got planned. Check you're PM's

This doesn't seem to be carrying the reputation the other FTW Work in Progress threads did.

Possibly because its just a bug fix? :?

You were one of the few that seen my post on why FTW was taken down and in a sense i never left, but more of a "Ok, If im so egocentric, then please show me your productivity?" towards thoes who were on the "hate wagon" at the time. I had a few people i could say were loyal and not backstabbing. Thanks for being a honest friend at the time JK and that alone speaks volumes of your commitment here, toward friends and your maturity.

I cant PPF it cause the maps are rebuilt. If i used a sized PPF you wont be able to open the mod up at all in either HMT or Sparkedit to remove or change things to your specific liking. The maps are being offered as 'full' so it can be tweeked and passed along for comfort of use rather then meeting a 'disc space' limitation.

Every screen you have seen and every vid made for this was done on a Nivida 6800GS. Average FPS is about 40+ with recording in fraps being to 20+ on heavy specular maps such as damnation or boarding action. Im not famular with the Radeon series but if you can try to compare it to the card i mentioned here.

Im going with EOF since it all began with that. while Conures program is outstanding work im just more in my comfort zone doing it this way.

Full time job. Im involved in another game and im taking my time not rushing on things. FTW was PepNess's last mod and im reopening it to finish what i ment to for thoes people who actually tracked me down via email, Youtube and PM's via these forums. Im working my best for thoes people in mind and making sure its done correctly to avoid gimmicks and overdone cliche's.

Progress? Infinity finished. Damnation finished and new loading screen in place.

will the pelicans and other vehicles be flying across the sky or just floating up in the air?

i don't know if there was a problem on my computer but i just didn't like floating pelicans that i could run into with the banshee.
