How do i use the mods for HaloPC?

28. Question: I just downloaded a mod, how do I open it and insert it into Halo?
Answer: Usually there are instructions in the readme, but you can be sure if there are .ppf files, you will need ppf-o-matic.

i don't know, i haven't downloaded any mods yet, i am just asking how it is usually done. So i'll need ppfomatic? Where can i download this one?

If its .map then you drop it into the maps folder within halo and replace (PLEASE back up first).

If its .ppf, you apply it using ppf o matic to the corresponding map. So if its bloodgulch.ppf, apply it to bloodgulch.map

Any "mods" are going to be map files *edit* or ppfs

skins are going to be ppf or dds files.

Incorrect, mods can be in ppf format.
