Oh my gawd. Big problem, what should I do?
I hate perents for that reason. I know, they have to raise their kids, but to me, there is a fine line between raising them and taking away their rights. My best advise is to do the whole "I have rights too" speech.bcnipod wrote: parents should not decide what religion they want their children to follow, the child should be able to decide on their own.

Alright... I went off to swim camp and my dad made his decision while I was there, and he looked at the web site and searched up some of disturbed's songs' lyrics and thought the concert didn't look too good. So, the day that he said that over the phone he wanted to have a talk with me about it, but I couldn't because I had to go swim and stuff. So after another day of it, I was able to talk during my free time yesterday (or was it the day before? Who cares) and eventually my dad determined that he wanted to ask if all the minor bands including dragonforce and underoath were going to be there (because they were the only two that he would have encouraged me to see) and to call my friend's dad to get an absolute deadline to when they have to buy tickets.
So while I was sitting in bed two nights ago he texts me and says "we're going to the concert, cough up your fifty bucks." So I guess I'm going!
I can only hope dragonforce doesn't start dropping f bombs like they did in that youtube performance, and that Disturbed doesn't play Down With the Sickness, because my dad said that he wanted to come with us to see it. I haven't heard much of slipknot's stuff outside of Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses, except for people = s*** and spit it out. So I'm going, but I'm not sure if my dad might make us leave early or something. He better not, now that I'm throwing down my own money for it >_> But hey, at least I get to see em live.

Sounds like a fair compromise; I'd even go far as to say that you're dad is being really cool. Still, be prepared to leave early if Slipknot starts playing some of their older stuff. I used to literally own every one of their songs, and your dad is not going to enjoy himself.
Still, best of luck and enjoy the show.
