Trolls

Post by thinkreddie »

I have a few questions regarding the rules:

1: Is trolling allowed on the forums?
2: Are moderators exempt from the rules?

Thanks...

I suppose it has to do with which staff is online at the time whether something will happen or not.
Correct me if im indeed wrong.

Depends on the severity of the troll.

And no, moderators or any staff members are not exempt from the rules, however it's the unfortunate truth that they get away from things considerably easier than most people.

Oh and sorry didn't notice your PM, i've relied on the pop-up box to notify me and I haven't turned off the pop-up blocker on this new computer yet.

I find that members get far more chances than staff members. I can recall a staff member being demoted for a link, yet we have members you continuously post links to prohibited sites and continuously start conflicts. Staff members don't really get warnings, whereas members are given several chances to change behavior, on most occasions; I can point out Jackson, neodos, and Dootuz, who were all given like 20 'second chances' despite continuous arguments and instigating of conflicts. However, by and large, staff seem to get away with more because staff do so much less. You tend to notice the instances a staff member does things, but overlook typical members, simply based on the numbers. You see this in any media format, you'll notice public figures doing things a lot more than you'll notice random people on the street doing things.

I think we can all agree that Iron_Forge gets away with the most.

And yeah, I know this topic is about me.

I cant say I know you personally, but from other comments from ppl on other sites you seem to be labeled a bad staff member. Im not personally pointing a finger but mostly stating my opinion to the fact. Also, How do you know this is about you?

I am a bad person, not a bad staff member. Furthermore, stay on topic. This is a question directed at the staff, and does not specify who it is about, so discussing a specific person is off-topic.

I have the impression now that trolling is allowed here. Because of this, question #2 no longer applies.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Good to see your question answered, despite you having been specifically told the opposite of what you claim to have learned. Issue resolved; avoiding conflict.
