Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

making a totally new skin

Post by frozenflames »

How do u make a new skin. I dont mean like"extract, edit in photoshop, inject". Lets say u make a totally new vehicle, and u want to put a totally new skin on it. How do u do that. Not taking an old one and modifing it. Cuz its 2d in the.dds and it turns 3d in the game. Is there a way to do this or do u just have to modify old bitmaps.

umm yeah. all you have to do is export as a .3ds .obj .lwo. then get this program called tattoo. it allows you to import a 3d rendering then just basically paint on it. its really useful. if u make a mod plz gimme a little credit.
