models can be read... I don't know if they can be injected though... I wasn't sure whether HMT checked the build version as well... I threw that in there just in case.

Thanks for clearing things up, MonoxideC.

well if "on to HEK then" is he creating a program for tag extraction?

cuz thats what we all need the most right now... and he is the man when it comes to halo modding

the thing is, is that I think tag extraction wouldn't be too hard... we just need to re-identify where all the stuff is located within the HCE map files... such as the Unknown #1's... in my offset lists for the maps, you'll see that every map doesn't have any #1 unknown. this is not good...

wait if we could just change the compatability values in the hex could we maybe play sp maps in there? this would require ui modding of course but wouldnt that be kick ass

it's more than that... we need to be able to find all the data, and have HMT v3.5 work with the maps... don't ask me how to do this.

first off, we have a proggie for tag extraction for CE. second off, I never said that he is planning to make any new proggies as of yet (or none that've been announced).

Okay, that last post makes sense. Cause after changing the HEX codes for my Bloodgulch.map in my CE folder, I opend the file in HMT (YES! It worked) then I go to Bitmaps, and and click the cyborg and pop!

Bah, my FTP isnt working well, I get a pop up that says

go ask that in the faq topic in the HPC forum, and I might consider answering your question.

no, there isn't... it's because the map structure/BSP structure is different than PC and XB's map structure/BSP

Earlier someone opened up Casualty Gorge with Spark Edit and said it was because of hex editing

yes, that's true. In HHT you DO NOT need to use the trick... it opens just about anything that seems to have the same header as the map files...
