getting started

I want to start learning on all about hashes and the CON key, (not necessarily for halo 3, but maybe when the next huge release comes out i will have some experience). Anyone know on where I can get started, I already started learning c# I'm beginning to get the hang of it but I'm still learning. Where can I go from there just give me some advice on how you guys started please.

Sorry for the noob question, but I'm really interested and hopefully this thread don't get closed right away.

You need a flash dump from a console, then you need to locate the keyvault and decrypt the key included. You are not going to do it without reverse engineering the 360's stuff, that is to say, you will not make a program to crack the key without it.

If your gonna do any xbox360 disassembly your gonna need to know PPC Assembly and before learning that you'll probably want a some background with x86 assembly, possible some HLA. Also don't jump into assembly without learning a high level language like C# or C++ first.

It is VERY hard. Why do you think only two known people have a CON resigner? They really know what they are doing.

Well, just learn a lot about the different hashes and try the things shade mentioned and I think you shall be very successful if you put your mind to it. Good luck!
