Underground mods
Ive noticed that almost every mod and a lot of things about mods are not let out to the public. How excatly would you beable to get into the underground modding business. Ive been researching halo 3 mods and such for monthes and I can't get anywhere really becuase nothing is released into the public. All I really what to know is how to not the one of the "publics".

This'll probably get locked, not because they don't want you to mod(well, they probably don't), but because they probably doubt the public's(yours) capabilities.
You need to know, a lot. Not only the map structure, but programming, and all that stuff, I'm sure that it's incredibly difficult.
To mod, you'd probably have to get 'in' with one of the inside members, and right now, they aren't accepting applications, so tough luck.

It is expected, and demanded.Tural wrote:MrMurder, we're going to hold you to that promise.

Then you probably aren't qualified to be doing a whole lot of research.
The people doing it now aren't doing it just to screw around, they are making tools and mapping out a lot of data, so that when a modification before the 360 is made that allows unsigned code to run, they can release the information, and we'll have a huge head-start on modding.

I recently was over at a friends place, and he went into a custom game and actually had some modded maps. I doubt he made them by himself though cause he knows nothing about modding.Eaton wrote:You can look at the screenshots and videos, but don't be able to expect to be able to play them.alcapone900 wrote:Alright well i hope some new mods come out soon. All I'm saying is if you look hard enough you can probably find those maps shown on youtube.
Good job reading the sticky topic.

You're right, he didn't. Everybody can find a link to a modded forge map, but can they make their own and make it playable? Also, there is a difference between modded forge maps and actual mods done to .maps.L0d3x wrote:
