Whoa. Alright, let me rephrase. How about Christian hard rock? Metal might be kind of misleading. Demon Hunter and Underoath are both hardcore, screamo bands. I'm not into that stuff, just stuff like Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin. Which... actually, are quite different. Ok, something like Disturbed is heavy guitar and stuff, but not death metal screamo stuff. It still retains a lot of rhythm without getting so hard you can't even determine when a verse ends and the chorus begins, you get what I mean? (At least, that's what it's like for me.)
Breaking Benjamin is actually quite different from Disturbed, now that I think about it. Ok, I know, the kind of "screaming" part of metal I like comes from BB. In all the other screamo bands you hear about, it sounds like some emo kid killing his throat screaming this high pitched shriek, which is what I absolutely hate. At least the singer in BB screams low, so you can understand what he's singing.
So that might have been kind of hard to understand, but that's kind of what I'm looking for. It's hard to describe; I have different interests than most people.

Umm, Switchfoot maybe? I think Crossfade is Christian Hard Rock as well.
On another note (I don't want to start an argument and this is not directed at anyone, I've just seen it in various places) Metal is not Screamo. Screamo is basically emo music with some screaming, it's still a bunch of whinny sissys who cry all the time and want to kill themselves. While metal has screaming as well, it's completely different. It's more aggressive than anything else and it isn't whining, it's more like fighting. I completely understand if some or a bunch of you think I'm retarded for saying this and having this opinion, I used to hate metal as well and think it was for depressed emos, but once I started listening to it, I fell in love with it. Metal also has some really soulful stuff in it if it's a good metal band. A good musician will mix a bit of Classical, Jazz, Blues, and Metal together to make something brilliant. I don't listen to any music without soul in it, a good song that has a really soulful solo in it would be Kissing the Shadows - Children of Bodom. That solo never gets old to me. Also pretty much anything Dimebag Darrel played he poured his soul into, so I'd recommend Pantera for metal with soul in it as well... Yeah, that's my opinion on music.

Relient K, people. Get it right.
Underoath has vaguely religious lyrics in some of their songs. The song Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape is completely Christian.
I listen to all aforementioned Christian bands except for mewithoutYou, because they suck.
And Relient K has Christian music in all of their albums.

Right. Not all of the songs have a direct Christian message, but the lyrics are still awesome, and the music complements them very nicely.TomClancey wrote:Kind of, some of their newer stuff doesn't as much, but they're still good and clean.bibbit wrote:And Relient K has Christian music in all of their albums.
