You said the moon would not be visible due to a low resolution.
I said it is visibly large, which is why it is captured in the low resolution image.
Stars are incredibly small when seen from Earth, and subsequently are affected by resolution.
It's really, really, really not a difficult thing to comprehend. If you look in the sky, you can see the moon is visibly larger than a damn star.

Are you overclocking your system...? The PowerMac's cooling system is pretty adequate from my experience with it...MarsMartianMan wrote:My G5 cooling system is going to be made entirely out of dryer ducts, styrofoam coolers, and mini personal fans.

No overclocking, its just that this thing has to be on 18 hours a day.shadowkhas wrote:Are you overclocking your system...? The PowerMac's cooling system is pretty adequate from my experience with it...
I'm starting out with ice because its easier to transport, the heated water will be circulated into my Air Conditioning unit to get cooled.Kirk wrote:You're using ice? This seems like a rather intensive thing to be doing. You're going to have to maintain a constant cycle of draining out heated water and replacing it with ice, possibly several times a day due to the heat.

My dual-core computer is on 24 hours a day on the stock cooling. I can safely tell you that nothing will happen, and that you don't need to take those kinds of precautions. My old eMac, even, would sometimes run SETI@Home overnight, which is quite a CPU-intensive program.MarsMartianMan wrote:No overclocking, its just that this thing has to be on 18 hours a day.
Its a 4 year old Motorola chipped Tower... If the CPU gets any hotter than it is now then I'd have to buy a brand new G5 that I cant even afford.shadowkhas wrote:My dual-core computer is on 24 hours a day on the stock cooling. I mean, sure, if it makes you feel better about it, it's a great idea. But if there's no issue with how it is stock, and if it stays at a constant temperature, I don't see a need for it. Good concept, though.
