Girl Dies Because Parents Did Not Seek Help

The girl in the story died because she was sick from diabetes. The parents, instead of going to the hospital after a week or two, just kept praying.

I understand if you think it is the flu, but by the 2 week don't you think any person would take her to the hospital? I don't care if the parents are religious , but there needs to be a line between hope and action. I'm just afraid for the kids that are still in their custody.

Religion itself is pretty ironic. Religion creates more controversy and conflict than it does hope and comfort.

Ah, I see. So, indirect murder does not count as abuse?

Yeah, because that happens all the time

:(
Reminds me of the guy from Angels and Demons. I'm sure there are many more cases like this. Is unfortunate. I wonder how the parents are now.

i can understand religion and all that but like metkillerjoe said....after a the second week youd think they would take her to the doctor for some help or something other than just staying home and praying. not even after the second week...for something like diabetes u act as soon as posible not wait and pray for her to get better...u can prey just take imidiate action for stuff like this

Christian Science is the religion that prohibits medicine and all that stuff.

I don't believe in religion for this reason. Because it is pretty much teaching people how to put their heads up their asses and not know when not taking someone to the doctor's after a week of her being sick. And then on top of that the parents said they should have prayed more. Now thats just the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Take her to the doctors then pray.

You can't say that, because I'm a Christian and I go to the Doctor regularly. Just because the lunatics didn't take her, doesn't mean all of us don't have common sense.

Be friendly. :P

This is unbelievable. The fact that you would choose to turn your head and say "LALALA", while your own child is dying, is beyond belief. The fact that they still denied their child medical treatment, even though there is irrefutable evidence that people who take insulin usually live, while people who don't tend to die, is disgusting.

What would cause parents to gamble with their child's life, no matter how slim they thought the chances of death were?

I have diabetes. It's very much manageable without the use of medical attention. It would be an insanely hard obstacle to contend with but is possible. What those parents did is just fucking retarded. The line here was pretty thick considering the choices...

You see this is why I don't worship a God who talked about Mustard Trees.
