[WIP][MODEL] p90

Halo PC uploads. All posts must have pictures and a mod to download. Use PPF always, unless the map is rebuilt.

[WIP][MODEL] p90

Post by au5t3n5 »

After seeing several p90 remodels, i decided to try one myself...

this is kinda just a trial, i want to see what you guys think, it took me like an hour ish or so, just trying to see what works best (i know its kinda sloppy, but it gets across the p90 idea...)

im using the halo3 ar animations with this model, because the bungie default ones have a flickering problem with one of the rifle parts i moved around..anyway pics below

comments please? obviously this is only a remodel, no comments on skins please, i know it looks like fa;sljkfd cause there is no skin lol, but i dont do skins...its with the default ar skin

i know, they dont show up in milkshape, i know how to fix it kinda(ish)

anyhow, i didnt try to be super accurate on this anyway, just trying to get the feel for a p90, cause if its a miserable failure, i see no use in attempting more possible failures

my god. good thing this is a work in progress, because otherwise i would have to kill you. I originally asked BigShot to make me a P90 model to see if I could use it in a mod. this is honestly terrible. Very very very simplistic, looks like you cut the top off the rifle, and paste it under the rifle. also looks like you scraped what was left on the top of the rifle up and stuck it to the top in a square arch. not good at all.

in the top right corner of your pic you can see in the middle what appears to be a little UZI

Thats makes me smile :D

Anyways, I see what you're trying to do but if you were just going to try and make it basic, why would you release it?

Don't quit trying, just do a better job. Fix the stray verts and smooth it up a bit :D

I see what you mean by the rail. But either make a new animation with CE or move the front forward so his hand is touching. I think its really good for a 1 hour project!

well you are wrong: on your ideas of what i moved; you are right: this model does suck @#*&(@*#

but then again it was only an attempt to see if i could even get the p90 shape correct...if youve modeled the ar, you know that there are significantly less possibilities than the sniper (though i agree that this could have been done way way better)

I spent a little time messing with your model. And here is what I did.

By the way, what picture reference did you use? This is one of the ones I used, but I still left it like yours, and cleaned it up a little. Here's my reference. Image

Thats great(L.... O..L...)! Keep working on yours and when its perfect send it to bcnipod, so he will have a good model for his mod. Since I fixed some things you might as well use mine to work on. To make the model match the reference picture your going to have to smooth it out a ton! This has always been one of hardest parts. Unless you get a animation for the P90 your model is not going to look like it completly just because of where his hands are. Help bcnipod, he would apreciate a good model for his upcoming mod!

look for this in the help section....

but you have to dl the skin you want, open up your map in HMT, go to the bitmaps section, find w.e the skin is for, and inject the .dds file into there

thats just a brief overview, as i said, go to the help section for tuts

Not only is this a bit hateful and immature but guess two things?

One, the AR is VERY limited in being modeler friendly.

Two, not everyone is 1337 with modeling.

Anyway, I bet this would look a bit better with a texture/skin

Lier. Lier Lier Lier.

Trust me, it's plenty user friendly if you know what you're doing. Even if you don't, it's not hard to do anything with.
