Loading Problems with Serenity-Patched Maps

Post by Neloms »

Hi, I'm relatively new to modding, but I've been interested in it for quite a long time and I finally decided to try it out.

I'm using my xbox 360, so, I can only mod new maps. However, it's fine for now, I've ordered a mod-chip and I plan on installing it in my xbox 1 when it arrives.

Anyway, I've downloaded a few maps from the community, and I've enjoyed many of them. I understand how patching works and I've patched using PPFs and SPPFs and have played them on my xbox. However, when I attempt to patch using a serenity patch, the map refuses to load on my xbox 360.

I open the original map in serenity 3.3, I patch the map with the serenity file (currently I'm attempting to patch with "Nightwinder 2"), and it gives me a modified map called "Nightwinder2.map". I rename it "containment.map to replace the containment.map on my hard-drive, but when I try to play it on the 360, the map will not load. Am I doing something wrong? :( Thanks!

Well, I have been having the same problem. I rename my lockout to containment and it doesn't load. I think you have to resign the DLC maps in a special way to get them to load. Make sure you resigned the map after patching.

You need CMR or CMR2 to sign the new maps.

Yes CMR Would work well

And definitely make sure you search up on good resigners
If you don't have any of course

Hopefully you figure it out

Oh and make sure that you have your SPShared.map and Shared.map where they are meant to be

As I screwed up with that just recently

Cheers

Thanks a lot everyone, i got my serenity maps working! :D I read somewhere that serenity automatically resigns the maps. However, it would seem that resigning them using CMR2 never hurts as well.
