Found this on my compy from a while ago.
I made this cause i hated how sparkedit read in strings, and how HMT did rebuild the strings wrong, but this appy fixes that. Just load a map and hit "fix map strings" and the dependencies in the map string offsets will be fixed so proggie like sparkedit can read their names right.
Directions
1.open appy, go file>load map.
2.select map
3.hit "fix map strings"
4.wait a (few) minute(s)
Also i realize this isnt to important a appy but i figured someone might applicate this.
Note: I the source code is also included in this post becuase i dont plan to support this appy......

Interesting, I'll download it to see how you decided to do this fix.
Edit: HMT messes up dependency strings? That's weird because from what I remember of the rebuilding code it shouldn't have that problem. Although I can see that mistake happening since it's not like it has a d-swapper or anything. I remember that Esch0.4 had that problem with it's scnr editor. Nice quick fix. It should work for just about anything.

Not only is this cool, I'll wonder how I lived without it. Thanks conure!
