Isn't there a rule noting not to post film threads unless their release is 2weeks or less?

There isn't a rule about that.

I like Morgan Spurlock Documentaries. So I'll probably see this one.

Tural wrote:I'm invoking the two week rule. The current topics will stay, but any that are posted and the release date isn't within the next two weeks can be reported. Posting it ridiculously far in the future just let's people say "Looks good" or "Looks stupid." No true discussion of the content is accomplished, and it will be bumped or remade in the future. It is 20x more effective to just post it in the future, near the release date, when you can actually get some worthwhile discussion without flooding the board. The two weeks ahead will cover whatever people would say in the six months, and the time after it comes out will cover whatever people would say after seeing it. Posting it months before doesn't have any advantage, at all.

The whole movie sounds like just asking random Middle Easterns if they have seen Osama Bin Ladin, just because they are the same race as he. I have to say this looks terrible imo.

Yeah I don't know. I'll have to see it to say anything about it, really.

Is it supposed to be a comedy or an actual "intelligent" search with some comedic elements to it?

It doesn't seem to me that it is an intelligent search. But I may be wrong.

This movie trivializes the search for the man who murders thousands of people and converts young men into radical Islamic terrorists.
