FleetAdmiralBacon: I'm quite sure it does, but I haven't touched OS X's terminal in over a year, so... ;P
I loved our middle school's tech class. Our teacher didn't put any locks on the computers, and they weren't filtered at all. Which is a pain now, because nearly every damn page on DeviantArt is filtered for nudity. At least they accepted my request to unblock my personal page, so that I could snag some arts.

Last year when we were still on Win2000, they were teh surprized when I got to explorer by pressing Windows+F1 and getting to a shortcut to explorer in one of the help topics. My Comm Tech teacher was like "whoa u r teh l33t!!1 How u do taht??/" And this year I actually did some useful stuff, like creating shortcuts to notepad and stuff like that, because sometimes I want to type small documents into a tiny .txt file instead of a big friggin Word doc.
And then of course, there's simple proxies to get by our ghey websense filter.
He said that?
Crazy how he said that.
Novell and 8e6. has a wierd kill switch on it. Installing anything, including alternative browsers, updates and plugins and raises a red flag and kills Explorer.exe and forces a restart. The only successful dodge I've seen of this setup was a kid named Paul ran a cracked exe-only version of Getting up. The macs are a different story. The newer Intel Macs won't allow bootcamp, and the Apps folder is locked. The PowerPC OSX ones aren't. We got a 8 player nexuiz and Halo Demo set up.

In my typing class I shared everyones C folder. Then installing the full game of pocket tanks with all the addons. Also put up a fake AIM that would steal peoples passwords. It was all ways funny to watch people get mad that they couldnt sign into aim in typing class.
Then the normal stuff like proxys to get around website blocks. Its was also fun to make folders on peoples desktops with vulgar names.

The closest I get to hacking is to make a paint file with 'HI MISS!' written on it, so that when the teacher sees my screen from her computer using a l33t h4x program, she gets annoyed.

For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

I'm not sure if this works on all school computer security systems, but on mine it does: just right click the command prompt icon and select "run as administrator" and it will open normally.
Good luck
Good luck

Never works for me, my school has pretty tight restrictions. No run, command prompt, batch files, or right clicking. I have had a few days where it took forever to log me into the network and logged me in as an admin for the computer, and I could right click and do whatever I wanted, but it's only happened twice I think.DEEhunter wrote:Ping (blocked website here)
Put Ip address of a website in your internet browser.
I do this alot at school to go on youtube and image shack.

Yeah. He said it just like that. He even included the numbers and noobish typos. Yes, he included them. You people talking about messing on school computers are idiots. See you in juvenile hall for Network trespassing and vandalism. I'm actually paying 420$ for being an idiot and messing with my school server. So all you who think it's "great fun" enjoi your B& from school.
from CNN-
"i love water. i dont love drugs. i dont want drugs in my water..why on earth is hannah montana more important than this?"

everyone moves on.
Meh, I couldn't think of doing anything on my school that's worthwhile. I do, however, like the IP Address to URL trick that was mentioned.

It is expected, and demanded.Tural wrote:MrMurder, we're going to hold you to that promise.
