Halo Pc Scripter
1st off...im not talking about who has the better computer.
And who said ive done anything with this script compiler. I havnt had a need for it. I script for CE and i see the basic structure of how the scripts work. shall i try and write one for you. obviously (from what i understand) you inject the script xml into a scnr. Basicly what Sapien does for you. I rarely mod PC anymore. Im fine just writting scripts in notepad instead of trying to code them right. Although i have to admit this tool is awesome, i dont have a use for it (ATM). If Patrickh could do it, i most likely could. We are alike in statuses across the board (except programming).

Really, I'm not sure if it's possible, I'm probably wrong but I think vehicle ejection is a server value. Only thing i'm sure of is that the function is vehicle_ejection. You have to set that to zero to make you able to fall out of vehicles.halomacmodder wrote:Really? How do you do it then?ShadowSpartan wrote:I could have swore you could do that without any scripting.halomacmodder wrote:Could someone please send me the map with the script that makes it so that you won't get ejected by vehicles? Please! I cannot wait!

I thought I remembered seeing it in a plugin for HMT, but I opened up HMT and I couldn't find it so I don't know. I can't tell you how long its been since I even opened up HMT, so I'm sorry, I must have been wrong.Cryticfarm wrote:Really, I'm not sure if it's possible, I'm probably wrong but I think vehicle ejection is a server value. @Self

this is abolutely true. I don't understand what the big deal is, I did it on my first try, and on my second try, it's really not that hard (dunno about mac)conure wrote:I know for a fact the scripts i posted work.....
I am gona be blunt, if there is a xml compiling error it is the users fault.
I will write a quick tutorial so that conure won't have to, he's put enough work into this already
1. Select your multiplayer map and open it in HMT
2. Hit tools>extract>batch extract
3. Create a folder called Patrick is awesome
4. check the extract metadata box and extract to the folder you created. when it prompts whether you want to extract bsp or not, select yes
5. once its done extracting, open conures app and hit file>load scnr
6. browse to Patrick is awesome\levels\test\mapname\mapname.scnr
7. Enter a valid XML script into the top box
8. Hit build
9. Copy the same map you extracted into Patrick is awesome
10. In HMT, hit tool>rebuild map
11. Select the map you placed in Patrick is awesome, hit yes when it asks you whether or not you would like to fill in the required fields
12. Hit build. Say no to any questions that pop up.
13. When the map is done building, rename it to mapname.map and place it in your maps folder, test

My tutorial was for pc users, i cannot look into its functionality on mac because i don't have one. I can't see it working for HHK (doesn't use xml) so try my method with the other tools, and if they don't work, then it might be impossible on mac.

New script builder version.
Thing i added
-Compiles directly into map
Thats all thats been changed, but this was a big change in all reality due to the nature of how map files work.
Bug, ect, post here and i will get to fixxing em. Also if anyone has some simple scripts they want in xml format post em and i will convert em.
